Safety first · Accident Prevention Program

Roofing is hazardous. Here is how we work around that.

A safety program is only as good as the access people have to the plan. This page is where our employees can find our Accident Prevention Program, and where you can read exactly what we hold ourselves to.

For us safety is a core value built into the work, not a line on a compliance form. Incidents can happen on a roof, so the team is set up to make the job site safer for our people and for you.

The program, layer by layer

Compliance, protection, training

Meeting these standards keeps a safer site for crews and customers, and avoids the delays and legal complications that come with cutting corners.

  1. Washington L&I

    Labor and Industries standards

    • Crew members are protected by current workplace safety practice.
    • Tools, materials and equipment meet industry safety standards.
    • Records of safety training, certifications and compliance are kept accurate and up to date.
  2. OSHA

    OSHA compliance on every project

    • Proper fall protection systems are in place at all times.
    • Ladders, scaffolding and other equipment are regularly inspected and maintained.
    • Hazard identification and mitigation are part of the daily routine.
  3. Your property

    Measures that protect customers

    • Barrier systems: tarps, barriers and shields protect landscaping, driveways and surrounding structures from debris and equipment.
    • Worksite organization: tools and materials are stored securely and pathways stay clear.
    • Post-project clean-up: sharp objects, nails and debris are picked up so the home is left safe and tidy.
  4. Training

    Proactive prevention

    • Fall protection, from harnesses to secure tie-offs, on every job.
    • Hazard awareness: spotting a danger and dealing with it before it becomes an issue.
    • Emergency preparedness: handling the unexpected safely and efficiently.

Learning from challenges

We had two falls last year

We strive for excellence, and we acknowledge that accidents can happen. Over the past year we have faced challenges, including two falls. We would rather tell you than leave you to guess.

  1. Investigation

Each incident prompted a full investigation and immediate changes to protocols.

  2. Training and equipment

We added training sessions and upgraded our safety equipment.

  3. Shared with the team

Lessons learned went to the whole crew to prevent a repeat.

The goal is not only to avoid accidents but to learn from every experience and improve.

Tools

Equipment that earns its place

Fall arrest systems
Designed to catch and secure a worker in the event of a slip or fall.
Scaffolding
Adjustable, reinforced scaffolds for better access and stability.
Heat-resistant tarps
Protective barriers that hold up during tear-off and installation.

What this means for you: fewer delays because a secure, organized site moves faster, the knowledge that your home and family are protected, and longer-lasting roofs because safe installation practices are good installation practices.

Low liability

Who pays if a roofer gets hurt on your roof

We make sure our workers are trained and equipped to do the job safely, and we follow the safety regulations while giving them the tools and training to do it right. That is how we expect your project to be completed safely and correctly.

Here is why it matters to you. Contractors who do not pay their employees workers' compensation are a direct risk to you, because you become the sole contractor and are liable for their injuries. Our employees are covered by workers' comp, and our WA L&I licence is YAKIMRR785KB.
