A family-owned crew that started on the roof
Yakima Roofing & Remodeling, LLC is run by Justin Tanner, who was born and raised in Selah, graduated in 2005 and began roofing in 2007. After earning his journeyman status he spent over ten years as a foreman, leading crews, managing complex projects and holding every job site to a standard of workmanship.
With that field experience behind him, Justin moved into sales and administration. He combines what he learned on the roof with planning and customer care, and today he works directly with homeowners on accurate estimates and plain communication. He also has a background in building design, which helps when the question is structure, drainage or ventilation rather than just shingles.
Justin has been married for 10 years and is a father of three. He runs the business in the same community he raises his family in, and he treats every customer like a neighbor, with honesty, diligence and respect.

We never use high-pressure techniques to get a sale, we do not make claims that sound exclusive to us alone, and we do not use fear tactics to get a foot in the door. If you have a minor issue that can be fixed, we won't try to sell you a whole new roof or a new set of windows. If we find significant problems, we document them and show you images along with our recommendations.

Why the name matters

Benjamin Franklin gets quoted twice in our own story. "A Jack of all Trades and a Master of One," because a crew that frames, roofs and designs still has to know which one it is doing today. And "Those who fail to plan, prepare to fail," which is why the estimate comes before the tear-off.
